Since joining a year ago, our son has not only improved his athletic abilities significantly, he has also learned a lot about discipline and the culture of traditional martial arts. Jesse Bernal and his instructors provide quality training in martial art.

I have 3 kids under 6 and really hard to find things they can all do. Since making the decision to stay at home with them last year and my hubs working nights I had been looking for something different they would all love. Never thought it would be Karate lol. I found an ad on FB for "little ninjas" and I thought ok.. lets do it. my littlest cant participate yet. but the other 2 love it! The instructors are so patient and thorough. The owner(lead), Jesse is so attentive to the families. weve been going for a few months now and Im amazed to see the relationships built.. not just with the kids, but with the parents. really a great place to train. we are very happy with them 🙂

My kiddo doesn't usually stick with activities for very long but has been with CCA for a year and a half. Jesse has really made it such a positive experience for him. When he was struggling with issues outside of karate, Jesse made a point to talk to him individually and even brought up similar issues in class. I've seen my son's confidence improve since starting which is worth more to me than any trophy or belt level.

My 5 year old daughter has been attending Little Ninja’s classes at Colorado Martial Arts Academy since this past December and we couldn’t be more happy with our experience! As an Early Learning educator, I am immensely impressed with Mr. Jesse’s approach and methods with these little athletes. Lessons are concise, fun, and effective, ensuring children are able to stay engaged, without tiring or losing interest. As for Mr. Jesse and his assistant teachers, they do a fantastic job of modeling what they teach and expect of the kids: enthusiasm, respect for self and others, patience, discipline, care, and responsibility - they truly teach to the whole child. Enrolling your little one here is not just getting them into a sport. Colorado Martial Arts Academy is an incomparable environment for empowering and building up your child, equipping them with a toolkit for success as they grow. We started our 4 year old son William at Colorado Martial Arts Academy in the summer of 2019, and Jesse (the owner/lead instructor) and his daughters did a masterful job of helping my son overcome his initial anxiety and participate in Little Ninja’s classes. Almost immediately, our son took to karate and began improving his focus, coordination, balance and direction following. As a former Tang Soo Do student myself (and son of a Tang Soo Do Master); I immediately recognized Jesse’s commitment to the art, and passion for developing students of all ages and abilities before turning profit. His studio is welcoming and safe, and the mat chat personal development sessions for his age group in class were both highly relevant and worthwhile. Jesse and his family continually made time for my son before and after class (at no expense to us) to help him improve his skills and integrate him into class. Anyone interested in enrolling a student in martial arts would be best served trying Colorado Martial Arts Academy first. The benefits we received have set our son up for success in his early childhood endeavors, and we are thankful to have found this school.

Martial Arts Classes are a great activity option for kids Ages 7-11 because it helps improve their coordination and focus. The group setting provides structure to help children improve their listening skills while also giving them plenty of space to use up their energy in a structured environment, while making new friends (and having a ton of fun)!
