Coach Brian Sattenspiel

BJJ Instructor

Coach Brian began his Martial Arts journey in 1997, training for 2 years in Tae Kwon Do under, 8th-degree black Grand Master B. Young Kim. The lessons about discipline and movement ignited his passion for martial arts and the martial way of life. In school he spent his free time studying Bushido and the Samurai. Inspired by Bruce Lee and his ability to fight much larger opponents Brian continued his martial studies with informal boxing and wrestling lessons.

In 2006 Coach Brian joined the Marine Corps. While enlisted, he studied Marine Corps Martial Arts, which included grappling. After fulfilling his commitment to the Marine Corps, Coach Brian began his journey in Brazilian Jiu Jitsu in 2012, under fellow Marine and BJJ Professor Guy Tschoumba.

With the guidance of Professor Guy, Coach Brian was able to earn his share of medals at local tournaments and even won a National Gold using JUST combative techniques!

Coach Brian trains every week, working towards his personal sparring goals at some of the best schools in Colorado. Coupled with his passion for BJJ is a desire to teach and help kids grow their confidence and leadership skills through the practice of the art he loves, Brazilian Jiu Jitsu.
